Go Goleta Relaunches Tourism and Visitor Website to Inspire Travel to Goleta

Go Goleta announces launch of new, fully responsive GoGoleta.com

GOLETA, Calif., February 13, 2017 – Go Goleta announces the launch of its newly redesigned website, GoGoleta.com. Thenew, fully responsive GoGoleta.com is more inspiring and visually engaging with leveraging the latest in website design and high-quality visual assets to inspire travelers to visit the small coastal California town on their next getaway. The redesign is part of the overall strategy to elevate the Go Goleta brand and overall marketing efforts to ultimately drive travel to the Goleta coast.

Designed in collaboration with creative agency Upshift Creative, headquartered in Chicago, IL, the new site aims to serve as an inspiring introduction to Goleta. Key new features include a refreshed look, enhanced imagery and venues for content, state-of-the-art responsive design, language translation, and an online booking program. Content was curated in collaboration with community members and content partners to showcase Goleta’s many offerings for visitors while also serving as the ultimate trip planning tool.

“The new GoGoleta.com offers compelling content that visually tells Goleta’s story,” said Kristen Miller, President & CEO of Goleta Chamber of Commerce.  “Filled with fun, vibrant images and is amazingly easy to use, the site brings the Goleta experience to life, recreating the authentic, down to earth vibe visitors can find in Goleta.”

The site features exciting news and upcoming events for travel ideas in a section titled “What’s New in Goleta”, while brand new itineraries on popular topics, such as the growing craft beer scene, historic attractions, and family friendly activities serve to inspire potential and repeat visitors.

The new website enables visitors to book their stays directly with a robust online booking program (powered by JackRabbit), while Trip Advisor reviews within business listings provide ratings and reviews from other travelers. Prompts throughout the site make it easy for visitors to share what they love about Goleta with their friends and family on Facebook and Twitter.

In addition to consumer content, new website sections for meeting planners, travel trade, media, provide points of contact for industry professionals. A Google plug-in helps visitors translate the site into 14 different languages, from Chinese to Spanish.

This is Go Goleta’s first major website redesign since the brand’s start in 2012, and the investment solidifies the organization’s focus on establishing a strong digital resource for the Goleta brand. According to a recent study “Google Travel Study” by ThinkWithGoogle, travelers agree that they turn to the web early on in the travel planning process for both leisure and business. The new website aims to engage these undecided travelers and show them why they should choose Goleta as their next destination.
